Thunderstorms rain and Snowfall in Himachal

3rd major spell of inclement weather this month, Thunderstorms rain and snowfall began since morning across state, the Met Office said.
The subsequent third spell of major rain, Snowfall along with thunderstorms keeping the normal life out of gear in many places in the state as it was snowing in the high reaches, incceasant rain and thunderstorms witnessed in most places since early today.
This Capital Town was heavily overcast also witnessed thunder and windstorm overnight received light snowfall for half an hour now raining.
Tourist resort Kufri, Fagu and Narkanda are still snowing. Shimla and nearby areas including Solan, Sirmaur and Bilaspur district also witnessing icy cold and intermittent rain.
Police sources confirmed that vehicular traffic disrupted at Kufri and Fagu as five to ten cm Snowfall mounted on the road at Kufri and Narkanda.
Report just arrived here from snowbound Lahaul-Spiti district said that snowfall continues in Sissu area at the North portal of Atal Tunnel at Rohtang. 
The depth of fresh snow is about five cm (two inch). The snow depth towards the South Portal(toward Manali) is about ten cm (four inches).
The police said that in all weather ATR could facilitate only four by four wheels emergency vehicles as it is extremely slippery and risky to approach upto the tunnel.
In Kinnuar district high reach experienced heavy snowfall since overnight and district administration sounded advisory to the tourist and local people to not climb in the high altitude places as warning of heavy snowfall was made in the district.
Normal life is out of track owing to Weather vagaries, state government has made special preparation to provide assistance stranded People by deploying snowcutters and emergency vehicles and evecuate the patient, Employees and students in case of closing down of road and highways in the Snowfall.
Yellow alert was made in the state for today and next 24hrs of inclement weather which likely to affect normal life in the state.
During first week in the new year it is third consecutive major spell of snow and rain in the state intensified exterme coldwave condition.
