Three Independent MLA who joined BJP recently after tendering resignation are served notices by Vidhan Sabha secteriat showing doubt on their actions may be influenced by some allurement and inducement.
According to Vidhansabha Official recently notices have been issued by the Assembly Secretariat to independent MLAs Ashish Sharma from Hamirpur, KL Thakur from Nalagarh and Hoshiar Singh from Dehra constituency who have joined the BJP.
In the notice these three MLAs, it has been asked that complaint moved against them by some ministers and MLAs of Sukhu government have raised questions about their resignation being considered voluntary.
In the notice issued by the Assembly Secretary, it has been said that in a representation given by the ministers and Congress MLAs accusing them that event unfolding after Rajyasabha polling after February 27, the conduct of these MLAs after February 27 showed that the resignations tendered by them raises doubt being voluntary.
The representation submitted by the Congress ministers and MLAs on March 23 stated that independent MLAs had submitted their resignations on March 22 under duras and allurement and case has been filled against a independent MLA under Prevention of Corruption act and influencing election process.
Government ministers also raise suspicion that independent MLAs flew away somewhere in a charter flight and they remain absent among constituents for long time.
Now speaker has issued a notice under Article 190/3(B) of the Constitution and Rule 287 of the Rules of the Assembly asking them that they should appear before him on April 10.
MLA were asked to present their reply on the representation moved against them to rule out the doubt of undue influence on them.
Speaker have to take decision to accept or reject their resignation under the prevailing circumstances.
Three independent MLAs have been told by Assembly secteriat that they could also put forth their version in the writing before the speaker by April 9, 2024.
Three Independent MLA are being accused by the Congress party being involved and indulge in horse trading by the BJP.
Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has stated to media that they have voted for BJP candidate Harsh Mahajan in the Rajya Sabha elections on the voice of his conscience however no logic explain their decision to join BJP and tendering resignation from Vidhan Sabha and seeking elected in the BJP tickets.
The BJP and Congress candidates who lost their election against three Independent MLA in 2022 have revolted against three Independent alleging that after winning election their quitting of memberships raised suspicion of horse trading.
