There is a considerable decrease in the flow of drugs in Shimla district
Case FIR No. 21/24 Dated 14.02.2024 U/S 21, 29 NDPS Act PS Theog Distt Shimla HP was registered where 12gm Chitta/Heroin was recovered from accused Prikshit Dhani r/o Kotkhai
After further investigation into the links, on 5/4/2024 – *6 more accused* were arrested based on their involvement in the INTER STATE Drug Trade. Total number of arrested persons- 7
Accumulated details-
1. Aditya Chauhan son of Shri Rakesh Chauhan resident of village Bandli Dr. Kokunala Tehsil Kotkhai District Shimla Himachal Pradesh and age 25 years
2. Paras Jasta son of Shri Gopal Jasta resident of village Badaiv Dr. Panog Tehsil Kotkhai District Shimla Himachal Pradesh and age 27 years, currently resident of H. No. 191 Block 11 New Shimla
3. Sahil Kumar son of Mukesh Kumar resident of House No. 2344 Village Moli Jagran Chandigarh and age 26 years.
4. Abhay Chauhan son of Rakesh Chauhan resident of village Bedli Dr. Prem Nagar Tehsil Kotkhai District Shimla and age 26 years.
5. Vishva Raj Singh son of Hemendra Singh Kanwar village Darbar Dr. and T Kotkhai district Shimla and age 32 years.
6. Ashutosh Sanolta son of Vinod Sanolta, village, and Dr. Kyari, Tehsil Kotkhai, District Shimla, Himachal Pradesh, and age 24 years.
The accused have been arrested in sec 29 of the NDPS act where involvement in inter-state drug trade racket was found. The network of individuals was spread across the Kotkhai / Baghi / Ratnari area. Further investigation is going on and an SIT at the sub-divisional level has been formed to look into the probe.
The accused have been arrested and will be produced in LD court today
This is the model of investigation that Shimla developed to counter drug peddlers.
Shimla Police does not stop catching only one catch but takes the investigation to its logical conclusion by drawing or connecting all linkages backward forward vertically/horizontally.
There is a considerable decrease in the flow of drugs in Shimla district.
Last year Shimla police registered 180 cases and this year we registered 85 cases .
