 Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has said that the time has come to expose the corrupt leaders in the state and teach them a lesson. He said that the way BJP has hatched a conspiracy and unsuccessfully tried to destabilize the Congress government in the state, its real face has been revealed to the country and the state. He said that any leader who betrays the party will never win. He said that BJP will have to face a crushing defeat in all four Lok Sabha and six assembly by-elections of the state. For this, he asked all the party officials and workers to unite and contest the elections.

Addressing the meeting of party officials of Shimla parliamentary constituency at the state Congress headquarters Rajiv Bhawan today, the Chief Minister said that this time the party has fielded two new experienced and energetic leaders in Mandi and Shimla parliamentary constituencies. He said that soon the party will announce its faces for the remaining two parliamentary constituencies also.

Sukhu said that he has always faced challenges successfully. He said that democracy will not be allowed to be looted by money power. He said that Congress has the manpower. He said that the BJP’s unsuccessful attempt to destabilize the government in the state through money power will now have to bear the brunt of it.

He said that making the state self-reliant is his main goal and he will achieve it. He said that despite the difficult economic conditions, his government fulfilled its first guarantee by restoring the old pensions of the employees. After this, Pyari Behna Samman Nidhi of Rs 1500 has also been issued to women. He said that along with social security, the Congress government is committed to strengthening the rural economy as well. He said that the people of the state have not forgotten the way the government carried out relief work during the disaster. He said that all the party leaders and officials should stand in the election field in full coordination with the workers and seek votes on the achievements of the state government in the last 15 months and works of public interest.

Education Minister in-charge of Shimla parliamentary constituency, Rohit Thakur said that Congress is in a very strong position in this parliamentary constituency. He said that three Chief Ministers from this parliamentary constituency have been Dr. Yashwant Singh Parmar, Thakur Ramlal, and Virbhadra Singh. He said that even though we lagged behind last time, it will not happen this time. He said that Congress will win this seat with an overwhelming majority. He said that public opinion is with Congress and money power will be defeated.

State Congress President Pratibha Singh, while addressing the meeting, asked all the officials to work unitedly. He said that Congress is in a very strong position in the Shimla parliamentary constituency and has to enter the election field with this strength. Calling upon all the leaders and officials to give a befitting reply to any false propaganda by the BJP, she claimed that she would win all four Lok Sabha seats as well as six assembly by-elections in the state.

Vinod Sultanpuri, the party candidate from Shimla parliamentary constituency, expressed his gratitude to the party’s high command, the state Chief Minister, the state Congress President, and all other leaders for making him the party candidate and said that he has been given a huge responsibility. He said that he got only 13 months tenure as MLA but with the blessings of the Chief Minister, he has completed development works worth more than Rs 95 crore in his assembly constituency. My family is indebted to Shimla parliamentary constituency as his father Shri Krishna Dutt Sultanpuri represented this constituency for a long time. He assured me that if he is elected as an MP, he will also be committed to the development of this area and solving the problems.

Earlier, Harshbardhan Chauhan, Dr. Colonel Dhaniram Shandil, Kuldeep Singh Rathore, Vikramaditya Singh, Vinay Kumar, Sanjay Awasthi, Nigam Bhandari, Zainab Chandel, Atul Sharma, and other district and block presidents also addressed the meeting and said that Congress is strong in the state. And is united. He said that Congress will hoist its flag of victory in all four Lok Sabha and six by-elections.
