BJP State General Secretary Bihari Lal Sharma said that the Speaker of the Assembly speaks in a double-faced manner, at present when the Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur commented on the Speaker’s post, it was hurtful to the Speaker’s post, but if he makes any comment, he does not even think about it. Will the Speaker please tell whether the words he has used are correct? Where he says that 3 MLAs have been beheaded and 6 are fluttering under the saw.
He said that we can give many such examples when the speaker of the assembly went to various platforms of Congress and gave political speeches from there, is that right for the post of speaker of the assembly? The current speaker of the assembly should answer on this.
He said that the speaker of the Vidhan Sabha keeps saying that inside the Vidhan Sabha I am the speaker and outside I am the leader of Congress. So he should choose himself whether he wants to remain in the role of the leader of Congress or the speaker of the Vidhan Sabha?
Whatever decision the speaker is taking may be according to the rules of the assembly but the timing of that decision is being selected by him. When three independents were expelled, why did it take him 3 months and where was the loophole in the rules that the speaker took 3 months to find it.
Bharatiya Janata Party gives due respect to the post of the Speaker of the Assembly, but when the person holding the post misuses his power then it hurts the dignity of the post.
