Situation of farmers will get worse if BJP comes back to power: Kanwar Ravindra Singh
Today, Himachal Pradesh Kisan Congress chief spokesperson Kanwar Ravindra Singh addressed a press conference at Rajiv Bhawan, Shimla. Recently, he expressed his gratitude to the Congress leadership for appointing him as co-coordinator in the National Kisan Congress. He thanked National President Mallikarjun Kharge, Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, Rahul Gandhi, Sukhpal Kheda, Himachal Pradesh President Smt. Pratibha Singh and Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu. On this occasion, he also appealed to everyone to vote in favor of Congress in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections at the Centre. He mentioned the condition of farmers and gardeners in the last ten years of the Modi government. In 2015, the BJP government had set a target of doubling the income of farmers, which they had to achieve by 2022, but the actual situation is that instead of doubling, the income of farmers has decreased. The condition of farmers today has never happened before in an agricultural country like India. Farmers and gardeners had to take to the streets and lose their lives. If a similar dictatorial government comes to the center again, then the situation of farmers and gardeners will get worse in the future. Considering this, it is necessary to bring Congress back to the center with a majority in the next Lok Sabha elections. He also praised the work done by the Congress government of Himachal in the last year which includes bringing universal cartons for apples, restoring subsidies on medicines, restoring OAPS, and fulfilling the guarantee of giving Rs 1500 to women. It is noteworthy to do so and provide new employment. He also said that the Congress government in the state is a government in the interest of farmers and gardeners and the work of Chief Minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhhu in this direction is very commendable. On this occasion, General Secretary Administration Puran Chand, General Secretary Dixit Jogta, Anup Majhotia, and Sujal Rajata.
