The recruitment process started through the State Selection Commission, the first examination conducted: Sukhu
The first examination was conducted through the Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission, Hamirpur, which was established in place of the Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission, which was dissolved due to the paper leak issue. The State Selection Commission on Saturday conducted the recruitment examination for 162 posts of Operation Theater Assistant (OTA) postcode 1073. 447 applicants were allotted three examination centers for this online examination. The Cabinet had authorized the State Selection Commission to conduct the OTA examination on March 13.
To ensure a transparent and merit-based recruitment process, other examinations will also be conducted through the State Selection Commission in the coming times. These 162 posts of OTA were advertised by the erstwhile Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission along with other postcodes through advertisement number 38-5/2022 issued on 24 September 2022. It may be noted that the present state government had dissolved the Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission given the paper leak cases and had established the Himachal Pradesh State Selection Commission to ensure transparency.
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu said that during the tenure of the previous BJP government, the interests and papers of the youth continued to be auctioned. During the Jairam government, while Himachal Pradesh Staff Selection Commission papers were leaked, police recruitment papers were also sold and the interests of the youth were played with. But the present government from day one has emphasized on ensuring transparency and merit-based recruitment to safeguard the interests of the youth. In this direction, the state government established the State Selection Commission, so that the youth get equal opportunities in government jobs, the entire recruitment process is transparent and the interests of the youth are protected. He said that the welfare of the youth is the priority of the present government and the process of recruitment for more than 22 thousand posts in the government sector is going on.
