The issue of Old pension scheme could be resolved by political will :CPM
The issue of Old pension schemes was prominently raised by the CPI(M) member during the no confidence motion in the state assembly today stating that ruling and opposition parties should not take it lightly as it require political will rather than administrative dental to be happned. Participating on the debate CPM member Rakesh Singha said that Vidhay Upasak who was recruited in 2002 and regularised in 2007 benefited from the Supreme court and High court by allowing them to cover under Old Pension scheme. He said that between year 2003 and 2006 there were no rule who would cover under the old or new pension schemes. He said that instead of administrative will, the Government should have political will to restore the Old pension scheme. The employees and pensioners covered under the NPS scheme are charged neither ruling party nor opposition could run away from the issue. He said that State and Centre Government have done injustice with the Apple growers by burdening them with the GST on the packaging material and putting berrier to charges tax on the apple crops at Shoghi.Mr Singha said that Farmers would not tolerate such steps against them they would remove barriers if the state government did not close them. He said that the Government has released funds to pay the subsidy to the farmers, however the state must explain why the money did not paid to farmers. Mr Singha said that it was unfortunate how the chief minister behaved with the delegation of national health mission employees who endangered their lives during the Covid pandemic now their services are being terminated by the government. Congress leader Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said that Jai Ram Thakur who changed five chief secretaries in four years should tell the house why Former CS Ramsubhag Singh was replaced recently. Does the chief minister not got a letter from PMO about the charges of financial irregularities and demands four crore flat by the CS to his close relatives. Mr Sukhu said that the PM office has sent a letter to the Chief minister and both the CS and Chief minister were called by the Prime minister on the issue.Mr Sukhu said that if he is wrong the chief minister should deny these facts. He said that a drug firm was manufacturing Rs 7000 Ramdesivir injection at Baddi in Himachal Pradesh which was found spurious by the State of Haryana however state government drugs authority could not nail such firm. Mr Sukh said that an agency was involved in the police paper leak scam which sold the question paper for Rs five lakh however the chief minister told the lie of handing over the probe to CBI. About 76000 youths were today forced to pay Rs 700 each as the examination fee to allure them to get job in the police now feeling cheated with the scam.He said that officers who were conducting the exams were not brought under the probe by the SIT constituted by the Chief Minister who are getting protection from the state government.
