The government called a session of only four days to avoid questions from the opposition: Randhir Sharma

After the date of the winter session of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly was fixed, political activities have intensified. The Bharatiya Janata Party has launched a scathing attack on the Congress government for keeping the duration of the session only for four days. BJP State Media Department Incharge and MLA Randhir Sharma said that the Congress government is taking such steps to avoid questions from the opposition.

Randhir Sharma said that the decisions of the current Congress government have damaged the image of Himachal Pradesh across the country. Now, an attempt is being made to mislead the public by calling a four-day winter session to avoid questions from the opposition. He said that it will be argued that the monsoon session was extended, but before that the budget session was also shortened.

Randhir Sharma questioned the statements of the Assembly Speaker and said that his statements seem to indicate that he is working at the behest of the government. He said that the post of the Assembly Speaker is a symbol of dignity, but his recent statements are against democratic traditions and constitutional decorum. He said that the Assembly Speaker has made controversial statements regarding the membership of six MLAs, which appear to have been made only with the aim of intimidating and pressurizing the MLAs. The BJP is confident that the Assembly Speaker will refrain from any illegal and undemocratic action.

Randhir Sharma also raised questions on the preparations for celebrating the completion of two years of Sukhu government. He said that the government has no big achievement to show to the public. Only the dissolution of the Congress executive is being celebrated, which can be pleasing only for the Chief Minister. He said that the BJP has formed a committee to expose the failures of the government, which will soon bring the truth in front of the people of the state.

Reacting to the CPS case, Randhir Sharma said that the Supreme Court has only given a stay order on the case, the final decision has not come. In such a situation, the state government should not celebrate on small issues. BJP is ready to corner the government on all issues and will strongly raise questions on every important topic in the four-day session.
