TCP notifies Jathiadevi as a new planning area
To pave the way to build Jathiadevi as a new Antimagnet township in the State under the control of the Himachal Pradesh Housing and Urban Development Authority, Jathiadevi is notified as a Town and Country Planning area. According to a copy of the Notification issued here today In exercise of the powers conferred by Section-40 of Himachal Pradesh Town and Country Planning Act, 1977 (Act No. 12 of 1977), the Governor of Himachal Pradesh designated Himachal Pradesh Housing and Urban Development Authority (HIMUDA) as Town and Country Development Authority for Jathia Devi Planning Area.
This Notification shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Rajpatra (e-Gazette) of the Himachal Pradesh. Since many villages of Solan district are also included in the planning area another notification was issued by the General Administration Department to alter the boundaries of the district, subdivision Panchayat and Tehsil, etc.
Another gazette notification accompanied by TCP notification said that In continuation to this department notification. ..the Governor, of Himachal Pradesh also notified that administrative boundaries of all the Districts, Tehsils, Sub-Tehsils, Villages, Towns, Wards, etc. shall now stand frozen with effect from 1st July, 2024 instead of 1st January, 2024.
Jauthdevi township comprising of above 35 revenue villages including eight to ten villages of Solan district has already been notified as part of the Shimla Development Plan under the new Township and many Panchayat of Solan district are expected to be included in the Shimla district to make them part of this town.
