Surveillance of media highly condemnable

Congress state unit has condemned the surveillance of media persons in Prime Minister Narendra Modi rally in Himachal Pradesh schedule tomorrow. Party state spokesperson and candidate of MLA election from Shimla Naresh Chauhan said in a press conference that the way state police and Jai Ram Thakur Government keeping vigil on the media showed its trouble to manage Media. He said that alleged communication to Media person and conditions of reproducing character certificate of Media person for PM rally tomorrow in Bilaspur during AIIMS dedication event is disrespect for esteemed media person. He said that it is not first occasion when state police have indulged in surveillance of Media person moreover recently during Chief minister press conference at Armsdale building security agencies searched the press conference venue with dog sequel. Media persons also brought the similar security breach in mind then Mr Chauhan said. He said that for the second time and national Media which was expected to join PM rally in Himachal Pradesh at Bilaspur and Kullu was directed to produce character certificate which did not spare AIR and Doordarshan media person and photo and Video grapplers, Congress party said. He said that BJP is trying to project a fake picture of BJP victory in upcoming Assembly Election as it did with a managed tv survey recently. He said that BJP leaders which disrespect Media person for seeking character certificate from them actually wanted to keep them away from the ground reality as BJP PM virtual rally at Mandi was exposed BJP’s small gathering. He said that BJP couldn’t want to face burning issues of record unemployment and inflation started tempering with free and fair reporting by trying to intimidate media by passing dictate. He said that Congress is already highlighted it emphatically that neutral Media and educated people of Himachal Pradesh couldn’t be befooled by the BJP government by trying to impose such barrier for media coverage.
