BJP MP Suresh Kashyap raised the issue of damage caused to Himachal due to heavy rains in the Lok Sabha. On this occasion, Suresh Kashyap referred to the statement made by the Finance Minister during the Union Budget about the damage caused to Himachal Pradesh due to the disaster and on the basis of that, he appealed for compensation for the damage caused by the first rain in Himachal Pradesh.

Kashyap raised his voice in the Parliament to the Prime Minister and the Central Government to provide immediate relief to Himachal Pradesh.

Kashyap said that the flood destroyed the Malana power project. Ravines and drains showed their fierce form. People ran here and there to save their lives. Shops and temples along with land were also destroyed. Many vehicles also fell prey to the flood. The terrible flood caused by cloudburst in Kullu district has destroyed everything. Kullu had not yet forgotten the wounds of last year when this time again nature created havoc on the last night of July. According to the information, clouds burst at three places in Kullu district on the midnight of Wednesday and Thursday, causing heavy damage. The flood has destroyed the power project in Malana. Apart from this, the Public Works Department has suffered heavy losses due to damage to bridges, temples, land, schemes of Jalshakti Department, roads. Life of people in Malana, Chauhki, Pauhal, Baladi and other villages has become chaotic. Due to breakdown of power lines, the villages are forced to spend nights in darkness. Let us tell you that cloudburst has caused heavy damage in Bagipul and Samej of Nirmand, a remote area of ​​Kullu district. Flood in Shrikhand Nallah has caused devastation in Kurpan of Bagipul. 10 people have lost their lives in the flood caused by cloudburst in both the areas. Seven people have been swept away in the flood in Kurpan of Bagipul and three people in Samej.
