Sukhu Sarkar’s one and half year tenure was an example: Trilok Suryavanshi

Media Team Coordinator of Himachal Pradesh Congress Central War Room and State Joint Coordinator of Himachal Kisan Congress said that the one and a half year tenure of Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu government has been exemplary. In the short span of one and a half years, the government led by Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu ji took many historic and important decisions in the state and implemented many ambitious schemes.
Sukhu government took the first historic decision after coming to power and launched Sukhashray Yojana for orphan and helpless children and fulfilled the duty of humanity by supporting 4000 helpless children of the state. Under this scheme, the government will bear the expenses of upbringing and education of these children for 27 years. These children will no longer be helpless but will be “Children of the State”.
Brothers and sisters, before forming the government, the Congress Party had given ten guarantees to the people of Himachal which were to be fulfilled in a systematic manner during the five-year tenure, but I am happy to inform you that our government has fulfilled five out of ten guarantees in a short span of fifteen months.
Fulfilling the first guarantee, the Sukhu government benefited 1,36,000 employees of the state by restoring the old pension of the employees.
In the second guarantee, Rajiv Gandhi Startup Scheme of Rs 680 crore was launched by creating employment and self-employment opportunities for the youth.
In the third guarantee, our party had promised that we will give Rs 1500 per month to women. To give this guarantee a concrete shape, Honorable Chief Minister Mr Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu ji started giving Rs 1500 per month to women in Spiti on June 1, 2023. It is worth noting that the 2 lakh 42000 women of the state who used to get Rs 1000 social pension have also started getting Rs 1500 per month from March 2024.
Under the fourth guarantee, English medium was started in the government schools of the state from the first class. This scheme will especially benefit rural children.
Under the fifth guarantee, to strengthen the village economy, the government fixed the minimum support price of cow milk at Rs. 45 per liter and buffalo milk at Rs. 55 per liter. Thus, Himachal became the first state in the country to give minimum support price on milk.
Friends, last year the people of the state had to face the biggest natural disaster in history. Our government released a relief and rehabilitation package of Rs 4500 crore on its own level for the families affected by this disaster without the help of the central government.
To deal with this natural disaster, the Chief Minister, his cabinet colleagues, MLAs themselves were going to the field to take stock of the situation and helping the people, while all the BJP MPs were sitting in Delhi and watching the spectacle.
Trilok Suryavanshi said that BJP had made an unsuccessful attempt to topple the Congress government by disrespecting the mandate of the people of the state, but in view of the public welfare schemes and public interest work of the Sukhu government, the enlightened people of the state have given it victory on four seats out of six by-elections and now people will vote in favour of Congress in the three assembly by-elections as well.
