Sukhu has been given massive mandate by the people of the State : Dharmani, Rattan and Sunder Singh
MLAs Shri Rajesh Dharmani, Sanjay Rattan and Sunder Singh Thakur have strongly denounced the statement of former Chief Minister Shri Jai Ram Thakur appearing in a section of press alleging that the present State Government was pursuing the politics of vendetta. In a joint statement issued here today, the MLAs said that it appears that the former Chief Minister was in a hurry to please his political bosses at New Delhi and thus resorting to such baseless statements.
The MLAs said that the present State Government headed by the Chief Minister Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has been given a massive mandate by the people of the State for five years and it was the commitment of the State Government to fulfill all the ten guarantees and other election promises made by the Congress Party on the eve of State Assembly Elections in these five years. They said that the former Chief Minister must have some patience as the Congress Government has just taken over the reins of the State and would soon come in action mode.
Shri Rajesh Dharmani, Sanjay Rattan and Sunder Singh Thakur said that the previous BJP Government in the fag-end of its tenure announced opening and upgradation of several institutions in the State with an eye on the general elections. They said that all these institutions were opened and upgraded with a sole motive to woo voters without any budget provision and irrational thinking. They said that not even a single institution was opened or upgraded on public demand. They said that the State Government has decided to wind up such institutions and all these would be reviewed and if found to be viable and required would be opened after making proper budget provision.
The MLAs reminded the former Chief Minister of the previous BJP tenure when almost all the development oriented decisions of the previous Congress Government were scrapped as soon as the BJP came into power in the State. They said that the BJP Government always resorted to politics of vendetta and vengeance, whereas on the other hand the Congress Government headed by the Chief Minister Shri Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu was committed towards balanced development of the State and welfare of the poor and downtrodden.
Shri Rajesh Dharmani, Sanjay Rattan and Sunder Singh Thakur advised the former Chief Minister to have some patience as the Government has directed all the departments to come up with concrete and detailed proposals so that development oriented policy could be finalized.
