Sukhu government to denotify NPA for fresh medicos
The new Government of Himachal Pradesh decided to denotify the nonpracticing allowance to new medical, dental, Ayush, and Vetnery doctors officers who would be recruited with this notification.
A notification issued by the Principal Secretary (Finance) to the Government of Himachal Pradesh Mr. Maneesh Garg Principal Secretary (Finance) of state of Himachal Pradesh said that in a partial modification of this department’s notifications Nos. of dated 3rd January 2022 and dated 2nd March 2022, Governor, Himachal Pradesh order that the Non-Practicing Allowance ( NPA ) would not be admissible for all Doctors recruited henceforth.
Notification issued would impact the salaries of doctors of Health & Family Welfare, Medical Education, Dental, Ayush, and Animal Husbandry departments of the State Government by 20 percent as doctors get 20 percent additional salary in lieu of practicing in addition to their normal postings. After assuming the office of the new government Mr. Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu also declared to resume the old pension scheme giving options to Employees or pensioners to opt OPS or continue in the New Pension System. State governments were asking the central government to release Rs 8000 Cr deposited by state governments and employees with central agencies.
