Sukhu government became an example of ‘good governance’ in just one and a quarter year: Dharmani
Technical Education Minister Rajesh Dharmani has said that the present state government has become an example of ‘good governance’ in just one and a quarter year’s tenure. He said that the State Government has got unprecedented success in settling the pending cases through Revenue Lok Adalats. Providing relief to the common people, more than 1.05 lakh cases of death and seven thousand cases of Takseem have been settled under this special campaign till February 2014. These figures in themselves prove the success of organizing Revenue Lok Adalats.
Dharmani said that today the people of Himachal Pradesh are wholeheartedly welcoming the initiative of the state government to organize Revenue Lok Adalats and are thanking Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu for this. In Himachal it was said that revenue matters have to be suffered for generations but the present state government has changed these sayings by amending the revenue laws to speed up the disposal of revenue matters and to free people from the offices. Don’t have to go around. He said that for years no government understood the suffering of the people of Himachal Pradesh nor made efforts to relieve their pain, but the sole objective of the present state government is public service. He said that the government intends to especially serve that class, to which no one has paid attention till date.
Rajesh Dharmani said that in just one and a quarter year’s tenure, the state government under the leadership of Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu has tried to give voice to those sections, about which no government has ever thought. He said that the spirit of public service is clearly reflected in the decisions of the state government. The present state government started Mukhyamantri Sukhashraya Yojana for the welfare of orphan children, provided pension of Rs 1500 to women. Not only this, the state government has started many schemes for the empowerment of widows and single women. He said that the present government has started the Chief Minister Sukh-Shiksha Yojana, under which the state government is bearing the expenses on the education of children of widows up to 27 years of age. One thousand rupees per month is being given to all eligible children of widow, destitute, divorced and disabled parents till the age of 18 years. The Technical Education Minister said that under the Chief Minister Widow and Single Women Housing Scheme, the amount for house construction will be increased from Rs 1.5 lakh to Rs 3 lakh.
He said that within a short tenure of one and a quarter years, the present state government has not only fulfilled five out of ten guarantees, but has also gone ahead and written a new chapter of public welfare.
