Sukhu expresses grief over death of devotees returning from Maha Kumbh

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed grief over the tragic accident in which two persons of Choti Dolly village of Tehsil Baijnath in Kangra district lost their lives and 11 others were injured.

This accident took place this morning in Chilli village, under the jurisdiction of the Rath police station in Hamirpur district, on the Bundelkhand Expressway, where a Traveler from Himachal Pradesh was returning from the Maha Kumbh in Prayagraj collided with a truck parked on the road. There were 13 devotees, including the driver, in the Traveler.

The Chief Minister said that the Himachal Pradesh Government was in constant touch with the Uttar Pradesh Government and ensuring that the injured were receiving best treatment at the nearest hospital.

He prayed to Almighty to grant peace to the departed souls and strength to the bereaved families to bear this irreparable loss. He also prayed for the speedy recovery of those injured in this tragic accident.
