Students of Legal Studies saw live action of the Himachal Assembly
Today, over 100 students from the Himachal Pradesh Five-year Legal Studies Institute observed the proceedings of the Himachal Pradesh Assembly House. During their visit, they had the opportunity to meet Chief Minister Thakur Sukhwindra Singh Sukhu and State Assembly President Mr. Kuldeep Singh Pathania. The Chief Minister engaged with the students on topics such as gender equality, opportunities for women in various fields, and other legal matters, while also listening to their perspectives.
The Assembly President explained the legislative process and how bills are passed in the assembly.
Accompanying the students on this tour were the institution’s Director, Prof. Shiv Kumar Dogra, and Dr. Samyogita Thakur. Prof. Dogra expressed gratitude to the Assembly Chairman and his staff, highlighting the significance of this visit for the law students, as it provided them with firsthand knowledge of the legislative process. Dr. Samyogita Thakur, the tour coordinator, emphasized that such activities offer practical knowledge that will benefit the students in their future careers.
Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu interacted with the students of HP University Institute of Legal Studies, Chaura Maidan, Shimla, at the HP Vidhan Sabha Complex in Shimla today.
