Strong earthquake tremors were felt in Shimla and other parts of Himachal

The panic struck among the people and a number of people came out of their houses in huff when strong tremors fell in Shimla and other parts of Himachal Pradesh on Tuesday at 1451 hrs.

A strong jolt hit this capital town as people rushed out of their homes in a huff which was followed number of tremors. The magnitude of the earthquake at 6.2 on the Richter scale.

According to the Meteorological Department epicenter of the Earth earthquake was in the deep Himalayas in Nepal at a latitude of 29.39 longitude of 81.23 and depth of five km. 

The tremors were also felt in other parts of Himachal Pradesh simultaneously.
