State Vigilance & Anti-Corruption Bureau recovered NDPS & cash from a hospitality unit of Baddi
State Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Bureau (SV&ACB) recovered NDPS and cash from a hospitality unit of Baddi Brotiwal and Nalagarh pharmaceutical hub in Solan district on Thursday.
A spokesperson of SV&ACB stated that in the raid conducted by the SV & ACB sleuths recovered cash amounting to Rs 6,36,362/- along with 45 grams of charas, 26 contraband tablets, and five unlabeled bottles, out of which two were full, two were empty, and one contained about 25ml liquid substance, purported to be codeine. One more bottle, labeled as codeine phosphate and chlorpheniramine maleate syrup of 100 ml, was also recovered from the room.
Two persons who belonged from Mumbai were taken into police custody booking them under sections 170, 419, 420, and 384 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). The officials have also added sections 20, 21, and 29 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act in the FIR.
The accused, identified as Amarjit Singh(33) and Fardeen Patel(39). Agencies are verifying proceeds of cash and contraband drugs.
