State govt should contributing its share for the Bhanupalli-Bilaspur-Barmana railway line: Bindal
BJP State President Dr. Rajiv Bindal said that the present government of Himachal Pradesh is adamant on stopping development in many matters, due to which Himachal Pradesh is suffering continuous losses. He said that Satish Kumar, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, Railway Board, Railway Ministry wrote a letter to Chief Secretary of Himachal Pradesh Government Prabodh Saxena, according to which, as per the agreement made in the railway line development work going on in Himachal, Himachal Government has not given its share, due to which the work of railway development is getting hampered.
Dr Bindal said that in Bhanupalli-Bilaspur-Barmana rail line, 75 percent share is of the Centre and 25 percent share is of the State Government and the work of this rail line is going on at a fast pace but the State is not contributing its share due to which problems are going to arise. There is an urgent need to worry about this in the interest of the State. He said that work is going on on the Chandigarh-Baddi rail line but in this work also the State is delaying and not paying its cost share.
Dr Bindal said that the development of railways in Himachal Pradesh will get wings after getting the state’s share of about Rs 1600 crore and then this rail line will go to Ladakh via Bilaspur. This is the first time that after the rail line built during the British period, the work of rail lines has progressed at a fast pace in the last 10 years of Modi ji’s tenure. He said that today it is necessary that the state government should not obstruct the development of the state.
Dr Bindal said that the state government is only spending its time in abusing the central government. The funds that the state should get from the center for development are being given continuously. The ministers of the state government are saying that Rs 700 crores are going to be received from the central government for road construction. If we talk about Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan, Jal Jeevan Mission, Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana, concrete houses for the poor, MNREGA, Fourlane National Highway, tunnel construction, construction of roads through Border Road Organization, Health Mission, TB Control Management, all these funds are being received continuously from the central government. Repeatedly saying that the center is not cooperating is a blatant lie, while the reality is that the state government is working to obstruct the ongoing development work. A similar case came to light in the construction of the Central University. The amount of Rs 30 crore that is to be deposited for forest clearance is not being deposited. It is clearly written in the letter of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the Railway Board that the amount which is a part of the state should be given immediately.
