State extends Covid restrictions till Jan 31, Republic & Statehood day allows with minor SoPs
Amid peak Covid pandemic during 3rd wave state government extended Covid restrictions upto Jan 31 however it would not affect functions of celebration of Republic and Statehood day to be held on January 26 and 25 to be held in the state.
A notification issued here today by the State Executive Committee (SEC) for effective control of COVID-19 said that previous Covid restrictions which includes night curfew, clossing of public events, opening of schools, tution centres, technical education center, college and universities, gyms, cinemahall and sports stadium etc extended upto Jan 31.
On Jan 14 State cabinet decided to impose night curfew which would extended further with new notifications issued on Monday.
SEC notification said that step was taken in-wake of present situation of COVID-19 in the State.
It also mentioned that Himachal Pradesh Statehood Day (25th January) and Republic Day (26thJanuary) related programs scheduled in the districts wouldn’t affect by this notification baring the limiting gatherings as these celebration events could be allowed to held in openspaces or outdoor areas with 50 per cent sitting capacity provided participants ensure strict adherence to the COVID-19 safety protocols and COVID Appropriate Behaviour.
All the Departments and Organisations of the Government, District Magistrates, Police Officers/Officials and Local Authorities of the State would also ensure strict compliance with the directions of the SEC.
Failing to invoke above restrictions, disobedience of not following COVID appropriate behavior would be liable to be proceeded against as per the provision of SEC warned to take action under penal Provisions against violation under Sec. 51-60 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005, under Sec 188 of the IPC, and other legal provisions.
This Order should remain in force, in all parts of the Himachal Pradesh 0600hrs of January 31 2022.
