State drug relief center will be built in Narag’s Kotla-Badog: Dhani Ram Shandil

Health, Family Welfare, Social Justice, and Empowerment Minister Colonel Dr. Dhaniram Shandil inspected the construction site of an ideal drug relief center in Kotla Badog village, Tehsil Narag, Sirmaur district today.

The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment received an animal husbandry certificate for constructing the state-of-the-art addiction center on 157 acres of land. They instructed the Department of Public Works to expedite preparations to allocate the budget for it.

He stated that the construction of this drug relief center would provide treatment and care for individuals struggling with alcohol or other drugs. Trained staff will be hired and assigned to the center. Ongoing medical and counseling services will help individuals learn about themselves and develop life skills. Authorities were instructed to complete the construction work within a stipulated period.

Secretary of the Social Justice & Empowerment Department Ashish Singhmar, Acting SDM Praveen Kumar, District Program Officer ICDS Sunil Sharma, XEN PWD, Tehsildar, CDPO, and other department officials were also present.
