State agencies tight lip & clueless about the NIA action against State cadre IPS

Three days of alleged raid by the NIA at the ancestral house
of state cadre IPS and SP Arvind Digvijay Negi at Kalstain in outskirts of this capitaltown state police and central agencies are tight lipped and clueless.

In the intervening nights of Tuesday and Wednesday a number of officers of a central agency
(identified by the local police as NIA) were seen outside the home of Mr Negi at
Shimla and Kinnuar. 
The police officers belonged to the town told us that Mr Negi was being repatriated to Shimla from the NIA .However no information about his home was being searched by the central agencies.

confirmed. The district police were also caught unaware of the search and raid conducted by the NIA. The state police confirmed that Mr Negi who was in the NIA was repatriated to the parent cadre. The central agencies were clueless about the incident.

Senior officials of Kinnuar district told us on Saturday that NIA team along with jawan of Himachal Pradesh Police search the ancestral village house of Mr Negi at

Dunni village under Kalpa subdivision however state police did not intervene in the NIAinvestigation and could not reveal too much on the issue.

The SP Kinnuar was currently on leave and the action of NIA happened in the presence of SP.

State Principal Secretary home Rajneesh stated that he was not apprised about the NIA action and Police headquarters may be informed about it.

The central agencies got input from the headquarters about the alleged action but they could not reveal much about the issue. The state police spokesperson said that he is yet to get information about the action of NIA and He is not yet repatriated to state home cadre as far as he had theinformation.

On official sources in the central agencies said that senior police officer, who investigated several\ terror-related cases while on deputation to the National Investigation Agency (NIA), is being investigated by the agency for his suspected involvement in allegedly leaking sensitive information to a human rights activist who might have passed it on to Pakistan.

Mr Negi was considered a reputed IPS officer and his father also belonged to the
state police officer cadre. He conducted the successful investigation as the SIT member in PMT scam.
During his tenure as DSP Shimla he was considered the most competent officer and upright. The fresh controversy behind the veil of NIA is considered unbelievable as he reputation as the police officer was of an honest officer and smart police officer.
