Spl vaccination for visiting abroad, 2nd dose after 28 days
In another flip flop of vaccination guidelines state Government decided to facilitate those students and citizens who want to visit abroad after permitting them second dose of Covidshield vaccine 28 days of first vaccination.
This was announced by the Chief Medical Officer of Shimla Dr Surekha Chopra issuing the change in guidelines to the various\vaccination centre in the district here on Tuesday.
She said that new guidelines issued by the government says that those who are going to visit abroad coming time could availsecond jab of Covid shield vaccine after 28 days or four week gap or they could have it before 84 days announced by thegovernment earlier.
Those who are visiting abroad or eligible for early 2nd dose also divided in three categories including students who are going to go for his study outside the country, a person who is foreign service and any athlete or group of Indian team and staff memberof delegation going to take part in Tokyo Olympics. She said that special vaccination session is being conducted at Deen Dayal Upadaya Hospital Shimla for these categories on July 30 which would be continue on every Friday in DDU till August 31.
Those who avail the benefit of special vaccination could apply to CMO Shimla office with all essential relevant documents which include certificate of first dose, reference letter for education, Interview or call letter for foreign service,letter for employment , appointment letter and Passport for Tokyo Olympics.
However others who are not going abroad would be vaccinated for second dose on earlier guidelines after 84 days.
