Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls

Chief Electoral Officer Maneesh Garg said here today that Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Rolls for all 68 Assembly Constituencies in the State was being conducted as per the directions of the Election Commission of India.

He said that the draft publication of Photo Electoral Rolls has been done on 27th October, 2023. Photo Electoral Rolls published in draft will be made available at each polling station of the concerned Assembly Constituencies and in the offices of Electoral Registration Officers (ADMs/SDMs)/Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (Tehsildars/Naib Tehsildars) for free inspection from 27th October, 2023 to 9th December, 2023  and Form 6,7 and 8 for lodging claims and objections will also be available at these locations. Designated Officers have also been appointed at each polling station to facilitate the general public in inspection of electoral rolls and filing of claims and objections.

Besides this, for the convenience of general public special campaign will be conducted at each polling station on 4th and 5th November, 2023 and 18th & 19th  November, 2023  to enable the citizens to confirm their enrollment or make addition for enrollment of left out eligible members of their family in the Photo Electoral Rolls or for filing claims for deletions or modifications. Disposal of claims and objections would be done by 26th December, 2023. Final Electoral Rolls would be published on 5th January, 2024.  

The Citizen can confirm the enrollment of his/her name in the Photo Electoral Rolls through the internet on department Web-Site http://ceohmachal.nic.in, and also register him/her through NVSP portal.

In this regard, a special meeting was also held today with the recognized national political parties under the chairmanship of Chief Electoral Officer in which Chander Shekhar Sharma from Indian National Congress and Dalip Singh from Aam Aadmi Party participated and were apprised about the schedule of the Revision exercise, the legal provisions and importance of appointment of Booth Level Agents. It was also informed that against the total of 7990 polling stations in the state, Booth level agents have been appointed in 6751 booths by INC, 7164 booths by BJP, 91 booths by BSP, 40 by CPI(M), 124 by AAP and none by NPP.

He requested to all the Citizens, Political Parties, NGOs, Mahila and Yuvak Mandals to inspect the Photo Electoral Rolls during the period of draft publication i.e. 27th October, 2023 to 9th December, 2023 and extend their pro-active cooperation for inclusion of names of eligible electors and for deletion of names of ineligible electors.
