SJVNL CMD Nand Lal Sharma appointed as Chairman of the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission

The Haryana government appointed SJVNL Chairman and Managing Director Nand Lal Sharma as Chairman of the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission.

A notification issued today by the Haryana Additional Chief Secretary A K Singh said that the period of appointment of Nand Lal Sharma as Chairman should be five years from the date of his taking oath of office or until the age of sixty-five years whichever is earlier. 

This appointment would be regulated by the Electricity Act 2003 and terms and conditions contained in the Haryana Electricity Regulatory Commission (Conditions of Service of Chairman & Member) Rules, 1998 as amended from time to time.

Mr Sharma has been serving as CMD of SJVNL for almost ten years. He was a Former bureaucrat and left his administrative illustrious career to join the Mini Rattan Blue chip firms.

During his tenure as CMD SJVNL has grown leaps and bounds and today it has become an Indian public sector company with market capitalization of Rs 25000 Cr.

Currently, SJVNL is generating a power project of 5500 megawatts.
