Six fear die in road mishap in Banjar
Vehicle carrying twelve people met with accident near Ghiyagi area of Aut-Luhri National Highway No-305 in Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh this evening police officer confirmed.
A tempo traveler fell uncontrollably into a deep gorge and 12 people are said to be on the board the vehicle. HP Kullu Superintendent Gurudev Sharma said that information has been received about the accident of the traveler near Ghiyagi in Banjar. As soon as the information about the accident was received, the police team reached the spot. However, due to darkness, the occupants of the vehicle could not be traced. Although the rescue operation team has confirmed the death of six people so far. According to the information, the tempo traveler was descending from Gilori Pass towards Ghiyagi at around 8:45 pm on Sunday night. During this the driver lost control of the vehicle. After which the vehicle fell into a deep gorge. Hearing the sound of the accident, the people around gave information to the police-administration. After getting the information, the police-administration team left for the spot. The rescue operation of the victims of the accident has been started, but due to the darkness in the ditch, the tourists aboard the Traveler are not able to be traced. However, the bodies of six tourists have been recovered so far by the people involved in the rescue operation. Now the bodies of 6 people have been recovered. Due to the darkness in the ditch, it is difficult to trace the victims of the accident. Rescue operation is on. On the other hand, after getting information about the accident, MLA of Banjar assembly constituency Surendra Shourie has also reached the spot, who is taking stock of the incident here. MLA Surendra Shourie has expressed deep grief over this accident.
