SIT continue paper leak probe
After five days of announcement by the Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur state police SIT continued the probe being lodged in its police constable exam scam which is being told biggest question paper leak case in the history of Himachal Pradesh.State Police Spokesperson issued a press release here today confirming that SIT was still entrusted beith the probe which brought up new facts forth. Defending widespread protests and anger against the state government and police over the police paper leak scam spokesperson said that it done good work afterimmediately establishing the probe. The Opposition parties Congress, CPI(M)& AAP was holding government and state DGO responsible for allowing the scam to happen and accuseds the latter for protecting involved police officers to save mag if government which is alreadyruined in number of cases like Gudia case in which top cops of state police are beyond the
bars. Spokesperson said today that CBI didn’t tookover case and state government allowing SIT to carry on the probes. Opposition parties blamed the SIT that it could not trusted with the probe asevidences against its owns
officers could be destroyed by the SIT. However SIT claimed that it has took up the investigation in the rightearnest and prevented vital evidence from being destroyed and prevented accused persons from absconding. SIT said that Multiple police teams were formed for conducting scientific and evidence-based investigation in all districts of HP and outside the State. SIT said that it have promtely constitued investigation teamdone Documentation of scam, team raided the hide out of accuseds, SIT also constitued a Cyber Investigation, Interrogation Team and Financial Investigation Team to expedite the probe making it time bound. Police spokesperson claimed that SIT,besides investigating the case diligently, industriously and conscientiously,getting documentation ready to hand over the case to CBI as and when they arrive to
take over the investigation. Total 91 persons have been arrested so far, out of which 26 persons are in judicial custody, 21 persons are in police custody. 57 accuseds belonged to Kangra, 19 from Solan, four from Hamirpur, three each Mandi, Bilaspur and Chamba and one each from Kullu and Una district. Among the accused 63- candidate three parents , 15- agents, middle men and Kingpins out of them ten middle men belonged from the out side state. SIT recovered 10,34900- Indian and 6000-Nepali Rupees in cash from Agents. In the scam five Cars, 137- Mobile Phones, four Laptop one DVR ten- Hard Disks, one -Pen Drive, Three Memory Card and one Jio-File were recovered.SIT also recovered Original certificates of candidates (Matric and Plus Two) from Agents and Institutes involved, one Account Passbooktwo Check Books, Pancards, two Adhar Cards
, Two ATM Cards and One Attendance and Visitor
Registers.
