Shortage of blood in blood banks of Shimla, Umang’s blood donation camp on 1st January

In view of the acute shortage of blood in the blood banks of Shimla, Umang Foundation will organize a huge blood donation camp on January 1 at Ridge Ground. The team of IGMC Blood Bank will collect blood. This will help in normalizing the blood supply in the blood bank. Padmashree Dr. Omesh Bharti himself will inaugurate the camp by donating blood.
President of Umang Foundation Prof. Ajay Srivastava told that every year the blood crisis in blood banks increases with the onset of winter season. He said that in such a situation, it is the responsibility of every section of the society to donate blood to save the lives of helpless patients.
He appealed to people of all sections to actively participate in the blood donation camp. He says that there can be no better start of the new year than donating blood.
