Shoolini University achieves H-index of 80
In another milestone, Shoolini University has earned an H-index of 80, making it the highest among all universities established during the last 12 years.
The comparative high score reflecting the quality of research is a result of the emphasis placed on research and publications in the University.
The high h-index has come days after the university was ranked 89th among all universities of the country by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) by the Government of India.
H-index of the university denotes that at least 80 papers filed by university researchers have been cited at least 80 times by others. The Department of Science and Technology places universities attaining 75 H-index as eligible to compete for the Promotion of University Research and Scientific Excellence (PURSE).
Congratulating the researchers of the University, Prof P K Khosla said it was a matter of great pride that the research of the university has worked hard to attain the high benchmark. He said, “in addition its citation of 12.7 per paper is the best in the country among all universities which have been ranked first ten amongst the top ten NIRF ranked universities”.
As per the QS Asia, Shoolini University’s citation per paper is 14th best in Asia. In addition, its 10 per cent and 1 per cent of percentile citation of 36.5 is the best not just in India but also placed well among the world universities. Its international collaboration of 57.3 per cent is almost double than the top Indian Universities but fourth best in India.
Vice Chancellor Prof Atul Khosla also congratulated the researchers and said the University would continue to place emphasis on quality research.
