Shimla Nagrik Sabha to strengthen at ward level: Singha 

Shimla Nagrik Sabha to be strengthened at ward level in Shimla Municipal Corporation to raise public centric issue and defeat Saffron ruling BJP which privatizing all essential services like water and sanitation. This was stated by CPI(M) legislator Rakesh Singha while addressing convention of SNS at Kalibari on Tuesday. He said that party which created history in previous Shimla MC poll by electing CPM city government was possible due to formation SNS at every wards and booth level and mobilized the people to raise public issues. He said that SNS would be strengthened in 2022 again as Shimla MC Election is about to announce. He said that Water distribution was privatized in the BJP government and People are getting Exorbitant water bills in lakh. Mr Singha said that city government keep on burdening on masses by increasing bus fairs, garbage bill and water and sewerage charges but baring People movement of SNS in last five no one opposed the anti-people move. He said that in 2009 SNS was constituted and people pressure group strengthen the party and CPI(M) formed first City government which didn’t allowed to increase water, garbage and sewerage charges. He said that Congress party which created Dharmshala MC in its last tenure also did injustice with SMC by not including the town as National flagship Smart City. Former Mayor Sanjay Chauhan said that Anti BJP front would defeat the BJP from power in upcoming elections and party would support non BJP candidates in those wards where CPI(M) would not filled its candidate. He said that last CPI(M) rule in Shimla MC did not allowed to increase the water, sewerage and other surcharges moreover the SMC left the civic body surplus with the funds. Thousand of Left front and trade union activists attended the convention including CPI(M) secretary Dr Onkar Shad, Himachal Kissan Sabha president Dr Kuldeep Tanwar and convener of SNS Govind Chitranta who also addressed the convention.
