Shimla Nagarik Sabha along with other organizations celebrated the 76th Independence Day

Amidst heavy rains, Shimla Nagarik Sabha, Sangti unit along with other organizations celebrated the 76th Independence Day with great enthusiasm. On this occasion, State President of the People’s Women’s Committee, Dr. Reena Singh unfurled the flag. State Secretary, Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti, Jiyanand Sharma congratulated the people on the completion of 75 years of independence and paid tribute to the martyrs.

He said that our freedom is the gift of lakhs of martyrs. He said that on this historic occasion, all of us should take an oath to uphold the unity, sovereignty and social harmony of the country.

On this occasion, greetings were given to each other on Independence Day by distributing sweets among themselves.

Kapil Sharma, Vijay, Hoshiyar, Suresh Pundir were present on behalf of the civic body. On the other hand, Secretary of Regional Committee Kasumpti, Jaishiv Singh Thakur from Kisan Sabha was also present.

Local resident P.R. Bushhari, B.D. Sharma, Brijesh Amraik, Rakesh etc. also made their presence felt in the function.
