Shimla Municipal Corporation is very important for Congress: Pratibha

Congress President MP Pratibha Singh has called upon party officials and workers to fulfill whatever responsibility has been assigned to them in the municipal elections with full devotion and dedication. She has said that the election of Shimla Municipal Corporation is very important for Congress and it should not be taken lightly in any way.

While reviewing the preparations of the organization for the Shimla Municipal Corporation elections here today, Pratibha Singh said that the people of the state have given the mandate to Congress to form the government. People have a lot of expectations from Congress. He said that like the assembly elections, the party should win the municipal elections. He said that Shimla and Dharamshala had also got the smart city plan due to the untiring efforts of the previous Congress government and now only Congress will complete this plan.

Pratibha Singh told those party workers who had applied for the party tickets in this election and could not get party tickets due to any reason, they need not be disappointed in any way. He has urged those party workers standing at par with the party’s authorized candidates to withdraw from the election field respecting the decision of the party. He said that he will be given important responsibilities in the organization in the coming times. He said that the popular government of Congress has been formed in the state, so party workers have a huge responsibility for strengthening the organization. He said that everyone has to fulfill this responsibility of victory in the municipal elections unitedly.

Pratibha Singh has asked the party workers to seek votes by keeping in front the achievements of the state Congress government in three months and further public welfare schemes and programs.
