Shimla city among possible venue for G20

Shimla which is queen of hills may be possible venue among other cities in India which is going to host G20 summit in next year. A meeting held at Rozna Hall in Shimla presided by the Deputy Commissioner Shimla Aditya Negi on Thursday with a delegation of officials of Indian External affairs ministry which was in the town to evaluate if town could be suitable venue for the G-20 summit in the year 2023 in Shimla. The Deputy Commissioner informed that India is hosting the G-20 summit in the year 2023 however prose and corn or merits and demerits were discussed in the meeting. It was also suggested by the members to be make town auxiliary venue where officials of G-20 could hold meetings hower heads of state may meet in main venue. Indian External affairs ministry is trying to rope in every state as well as every single major city of the country during the summit.  On minutes of meeting discuss here to be further analysis soon by the central government to take final call on the role of Shimla G20.It has been informed that DC assured Ministry of External Affairs to do every effort to meet the expectation  required for hosting G20 so that a meeting of the G20 summit so that it could be held in Shimla. Ashok Sharma, Amit Verma, Additional District Magistrate (Protocol) Sachin Kanwal, Additional Superintendent of Police Vijay Sharma, Additional Commissioner Municipal Corporation Shimla Ajit Bhardwaj, District Tourism Development Officer Neeraj Gupta, Protocol Officer Dinesh Khachi, District Language Officer Anil were present in the meeting.  Harta and other officers were present. Shimla is historic place where Mahatma Gandhi visited seven to eight times to attend various pre-independence and freedom struggle meeting held between Indian National Congress and Britishers and The Simla Agreement signed  between India and Pakistan on 2 July 1972 in Shimla by Former Prime minister Indira Gandhi and Pakistan President Zulfikar Ali Bhutto.
