SFI demands investigation into NEET scam

On Wednesday, members of the Students Federation of India (SFI) gathered at the Deputy Commissioner’s office in Shimla to protest against alleged corruption within the National Testing Agency (NTA).

The protesters, predominantly left-wing students, called for an immediate, transparent, and impartial investigation into the recent corruption scandal involving the NEET exam.

The SFI’s State Committee voiced their concerns, emphasizing that ever since the NTA’s inception, there have been continuous allegations of corruption.

The recent scandal in the NEET exam has brought these issues to the forefront, prompting the SFI to demand that strict action be taken against any officials found guilty of corruption.

They are also calling for a judicial inquiry to ensure that all details are thoroughly investigated and made public.

The SFI’s demands extend beyond just the NEET exam scandal. They are pushing for the dismantling of the NTA altogether, citing its repeated failures and corruption incidents as evidence of its inability to manage educational assessments effectively.

The students argue that the centralization of education through the NTA has led to increased corruption and inefficiencies, undermining the integrity of national exams.

During the protest, the SFI called upon the student community nationwide to unite against the centralization of education by the NTA.

They believe that a collective student movement is necessary to bring about substantial changes in the way educational assessments are conducted in India.

By standing together, they hope to pressure authorities into taking concrete actions to address and rectify these systemic issues.

The SFI insists that the future of students should not be compromised by corrupt practices and mismanagement.
