Sexual assault against students: Central University faculty members arrested

A faculty member posted in Central University of Himachal was arrested by state police on Tuesday on the complaint of a pupil that she was sexually assaulted or rape by the accused. Subdivisional police Officer Dehra Mr. Vishal Verma informed that accused was produced before the  judicial magistrate court Dehra on Wednesday  and the JMC awarded two days  police remand.   On the complaint of victims who is studying in central university police booked the accused under section 376 IPC on December 13.  The victim stated to police that accused used to teach the students as a lecturer in Dehra CUHP campus and during this time he allegedly lured victim on the pretext of marriage and allegedly raped her. After the complaint medical investigation of the victim was done and collected and collected evidences against the accused. He was put behind bar on Tuesday evening.
