Sex racket: Police arrests 17 in Chail

THE police arrested 17 persons including five women on the charges of Immoral Trafficking and Narcotics   drugs from a private hotel at Nagali village in Chail area under Kandaghat police station in this district, last night.Reliable sources in police revealed that following a tip off, a police party lead by Dy.SP Santosh Sharma  raided the hotel “Nature Villa”, situated  in village Nagali  in cChail area of  Kandaghat sub division and arrested five women and elevan persons including  owner of hotel for allegedly running a sex racket. Sources further revealed that during the search,  the police has also recovered large quantity of liquor and drugs from the possession of the accused persons, belonged to Punjab and Haryana. During the raid, it was found that “Nature Villa”  has not been registered with Tourism department yet and has also not obtained needed permissions and completed the required formalities with Excise and Taxation department.The   Police have registered a case under Section 3 Prevention of Immoral Trafficking Act, Narcotics  drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act and Excise Act .  Further investigation was in progress.
