SDP to provide very effective facilities to resident of Shimla : Minister

Himachal Pradesh Urban Development Minister Suresh Bhardwaj said during a meeting of Shimla Development Plan held at state guest houses here today that people would providevery effective facilities to residents of Shimla town.
 Mr Bhardwaj was presiding over a powerpoint presentation on the Shimla Development plan byta  company at Hotel Holiday Home here today.
The Minister said that town planners and civic body officials discussed  the detail the standards to be adopted in relation to the construction of new buildings under this development plan.  
During finalising the proposed SDP the  availability of transport system, sewerage and other facilities should be given emphasis. An action plan is being prepared to prepare a development plan to give better shape to these arrangements. 
 The Cong legislators of Kasumpti assembly constituency Anirudh Singh stressed on the need to determine the height and area of the buildings under this development plan in the building construction rules. 
Most of speakers inculding MLA stressed that necessary preference should be given to determine  height and area rather than adopting the floor process of buildings keeping with the strength of geology of the lands in the town.
During the discussion, the councilors gave necessary suggestions under various aspects to make the development plan more effective.

 Mayor Shimla Municipal Corporation Satya Kaundal, Deputy Mayor Shailendra Chauhan, all the councilors, 
Commissioner Municipal Corporation Ashish Kohli, Director Town and Country Planner Kamal Kant Saroch, Town and Country Planner Shimla Division Premlata Chauhan and other dignitaries were present in the program.
