SC,ST & OBC joint action morcha seeks to withdraw decision of forming Samanya Varag Ayog

 Himachal Pradesh Scheduled Caste, Schedule Tribe and Other backward
Classes joint action morcha(SC, ST & OBC JAM) demanded to withdraw the decision of formation of Samanya  Varag Ayog in the state.

Addressing a press conference here today spokesperson of SC, ST & OBC JAM Mr PremDharik said that 99 percent of high rank posts are being filled without the provisions of reservation and provisions of reservation to SC,ST and OBC are negligible people.
There is  provision of negligible reservation as the most of Government jobs are being filled out source
anc contract basis without following the rosters moreover most of reserved posts could not be filled due to
pending backlogs.

He said that it is the first time when 99 per cent posts are being filled without reservation and the Government
is not able to impart the benefit of reservation to all the categories. The Affirmative actions could not
able to deliver social justice  and divides is being created by the state government decisions.

He warned that after the formation of Samanya Varag Ayog the problems being faced by the  
state are not going to end as it would create more tension in the state instead of ending the social divide. SC, ST& OBC JAM was formed with increasing social tension after the decisions of Samanya Ayoghe said adding that 80 Per cent of Jobs in the state is with the people belonging to the General categories.

The benefits of reservation were not going to the eligible people moroever formation of Samanay Ayog
would damage their interest and erode the social harmony.    

The people belonging to SCs are not being allowed to enter the temple and  atrocities against them are
not coming down, in most of the cases FIR is not being registered. 
To divert attention of people from issues of inequality and negligent attitude, Samanay Varag Ayog was constituted as a part of conspiracy.
He said that SC,ST & OBC JAM would give a call to protest against the BJP if the Government failed to withdraw the
decisions of Samanay Varag Ayog in the state.

As it has been stated earlier that the Government has issued notification to constitute a Samanya Varag Ayog
in the state on the demand of Sawwaron Ayog by the number of right wing organisations in the state which was
supported by the ruling BJP and its organisations.
