Satyen Vadiya sworn in as adl judge of Himachal HC
Senior lawyer Satyen Vaidya was sworn in as Additional Judge of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh today.
He was administered the oath of office by Hon’ble the Chief Justice Shri L. Narayana Swamy in a simple but impressive ceremony held in the High Court at Shimla. The Judges of High Court of H.P.
Mr. Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, Mr. Justice Sureshwar Thakur, Mr. Justice Vivek Singh Thakur, Hon’ble Mr. Justice Sandeep Sharma and Mr. Justice Chander Bhusan Barowalia, Mr. Justice Anoop Chitkara and Ms. Justice Jyotsana Rewal Dua were present on the occasion.
The Registrar General Virender Singh conducted the proceedings and read the Warrant of appointment issued by the President of India appointing Mr Vaidya as Additional Judge of the High Court of Himachal Pradesh.
Bio data of Mr Vaidya
Justice Satyen Vaidya was born on December 22,1963 to Shri H.L. Vaidya and Smt. Prakash Vaidya in Mandi. He did his schooling from Govt. School Lalpani, Shimla and graduation from Govt. College Sanjauli in 1983 and subsequently law from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla in 1986.
He enrolled as an advocate in the year 1986 and started practising in District Courts in Shimla till 2009 and thereafter he shifted to High Court of Himachal Pradesh where he practised law in Civil, Criminal, Constitutional, Service and Arbitration matters.
He has done an extensive work in arbitration and mediation matters apart from being amicus curiae in several cases at High Court of Himachal Pradesh. He was designated as Senior Advocate in 2015.
