Satyanand Stokes should be given the highest honor of the country : Kuldeep Rathore
All India Congress Committee spokesperson Kuldeep Singh Rathore, MLA from Theog has demanded from the Central Government that Satyanand Stokes, the father of horticulture, especially apple production in Himachal Pradesh, should be given the highest honor of the country for his remarkable contribution in this field. He said that Satyanand Stokes has given Himachal Pradesh a special identity in apple production. Himachal’s apple is known for its quality all over the country and today it has a huge contribution in the economy of the state. Lakhs of people are associated with apple horticulture and its business.
Kuldeep Singh Rathore has said that if Satyanand Stokas is honoured with the Bharat Ratna, the pride of the country, for his remarkable contribution to the state’s horticulture, then this honour will be for the lakhs of horticulturists of the state who are associated with this business. He has said that the state’s annual economy of more than Rs 5 thousand crore is linked to this business. He said that there is a great need to provide incentives for horticulture development in the state.
Kuldeep Singh Rathore has urged the state government to place this proposal before the central government and said that this will be a great achievement for the promotion of apple horticulture sector and a great honor for apple growers. He has said that Satyanand Stocks can never be forgotten for the path of apple production that he has shown to the people of the state, so the state government should also establish a memorial in his memory.
It is noteworthy that last day was the birth anniversary of Satyanand Stokas. On his birth anniversary, a large number of gardeners of the area in Narkanda, under the chairmanship of Kuldeep Singh Rathore, remembered him and offered flowers to his statue.
