Rs 1782 crore was provided to Himachal Pradesh for flood relief : Nadda
National President of Bharatiya Janata Party, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda addressed a huge public meeting organized at Zorawar Singh Stadium in Dharamshala, Himachal Pradesh on Saturday. During the program, Himachal Pradesh BJP State President Shri Rajeev Bindal, former Chief Minister Shri Jairam Thakur, National Vice President Shri Saudan Singh and Union Minister Shri Anurag Thakur including many senior leaders and officials of the party were present on the stage. Earlier, Mr Nadda held a grand road show in Dharamshala. Let it be known that Shri Nadda has reached Himachal today on a two-day visit.
Shri Nadda said that today in the changed situation, the country is touching new dimensions every day on new paths of development and progress. During the Congress tenure, India’s image was that of a corrupt, backward country that could not stand on its own feet and had compromised its self-respect. But in 2014, respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi took charge of the government and worked tirelessly as the first servant to change the image of the country, as a result of which today India is recognized as a glorious country. The country has taken a big leap towards development and is rapidly moving towards self-reliance. Today the whole world listens to India and the Prime Minister of India with seriousness and this is the picture of changing India. Under the leadership of respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, India is today taking a leap towards rapid development in every field including education and entrepreneurship. Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ji is not only preserving the cultural heritage of India but is also taking the country towards overall inclusive development. Along with community empowerment of the country, all sections of the society have been empowered as a whole. Today, the caste chains that kept the people of the country away from unity have been broken and under the leadership of the successful Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the entire country is moving forward with the concept of Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas.
Referring to the interim budget, Shri Jagat Prakash Nadda said that this budget is dedicated to the development of the country. Now all types of oil will be produced in the country under self-reliant India. Congress used to do politics of casteism and vote bank, but since respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi came to power, there has been a change in the political culture in India. Report card politics is now prevalent in the government of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi BJP. What was said has been done, what was not said has also been done.
Taking a jibe at Congress, Shri Nadda said that due to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the politics of development and self-reliance has started in the country. Earlier during the Congress rule, the country was known for scams but under the BJP rule the country is being known for its rapid success. Under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, the country has come out of scams and is moving on the path of success. From sports to space, BJP has fulfilled its intention of success and this is a changing India.
BJP National President said that no one had thought that Ram Lalla would be seated at his place and we all would get the privilege of seeing Ram Lalla being consecrated in the grand temple with the lotus feet of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. But this struggle of 500 years also brought to a complete end by respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Due to Article 370, there were some obstacles in Kashmir becoming an integral part of the country. Earlier we used to give the slogan that “2 symbols, 2 laws, 2 constitutions will not work in one country”, but Congress leaders used to say that this is just a dream. Respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji has made this dream come true and on the strength of his strong will and the strategy of Home Minister Shri Amit Shah Ji, Article 370 was abolished. Also, there was surgical strike and air strike on terrorism.
Shri Nadda said that under the rule of Congress, India has reached 5th position in terms of economy. You once again press the button on the lotus symbol and appoint respected Shri Narendra Modi ji to the post of Prime Minister of the country with an overwhelming majority, India will become the third largest economy in the world in 2027-28.
Honorable National President said that as elections approach, Congress and Opposition remember the caste census and start trying to divide on caste lines. BJP has never opposed the caste census, it has supported it. Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi said that there are only four castes in the country, poor, youth, Annadata and Nari Shakti (GYAN), and if these four castes get welfare then all the castes will get welfare. That is why all the schemes of BJP are focused on their welfare. Guaranteeing respect and health to women by providing permanent houses, tap water and toilets in every house has been possible only under the leadership of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi.
Shri Nadda said that under the Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Anna Yojana, free food was provided to 80 crore people, as a result of which 25 crore people have come above the poverty line today. From the point of view of women power, Ujjwala Yojana, Ujala Yojana, Saubhagya Yojana, Mudra Yojana and Jan Dhan Yojana strengthen women power and empower them. Like the Prime Minister Kisan Samman Nidhi, 11 crore 80 lakh people were provided Rs 2,000 every fourth month. Schemes like Neem Coated Urea, Soil Health Card Scheme, Per Drop More Crop and Crop Insurance Scheme strengthen and empower the farmers. Schemes like Mudra Yojana, Sports India, Fit India, Start-up India and Stand-up India proved beneficial in empowering the youth. All these schemes prove that the respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi thinks about the poor, youth, food providers and women power and takes steps for their welfare.
Respected National President said that BJP has left no stone unturned in the development of Himachal Pradesh. The building of the Indian Institute of Management has been completed in Sirmaur at a cost of Rs 400 crore, in which the courses are also going to start soon. Health Minister Shri Mansukh Mandaviya from All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur has today started the cath lab in AIIMS, Bilaspur. New dimensions of development like the works of AIIMS, IIT and Medical Device Park are successfully standing in front of the public today. In the five years that the government ran under the leadership of Shri Jairam ji, 7,000 km of rural roads were built, the BJP government has left no stone unturned for development.
Shri Nadda said that many opposition leaders say that there was a flood but the public did not get any help, but when the tragedy occurred, no Congress leader came to the state but they reached there to ask for votes, but on the contrary, wherever there was a tragedy, When it happened, BJP leaders reached there to help. On July 22, with the decision of the Prime Minister and the assistance of the Home Ministry, Rs 180 crore was provided for the relief of the people of the state. After that, on 1 August, Rs 400 crore was provided by the Central Government for the maintenance of the state’s roads, then on the dates of 7 August and 20 August, Rs 189 crore and Rs 200 crore were provided to the state. While Rs 633 crore was provided on 12th December, a total of Rs 1782 crore was provided for relief to Himachal Pradesh. In times of trouble, it was Shri Narendra Modi who cared for the people of the state. After writing a letter to those whose houses were damaged during the disaster, the Rural Development Minister sanctioned 11 thousand houses.
