Rishi Panchami Jatra Fair in Banga Pani to be celebrated on 08 September at Kalahar Nag Mandir

The famous and traditional Rishi Panchami Jatra fair of Chiyog and Ratesh region will be celebrated with great pomp on 08 September at Kalahar Nag Mandir Bangapani situated on Dharech Road near Chiyog. Fair Committee Chairman and Minister Sita Ram Sharma said that on the first day of the fair on 7 September, there will be a special arrival of Jaiswari Kali Mata Dalenya and Kalahar Nag Devta Grange, and in the evening both the goddess and god will be worshipped as per tradition. The fair will be organized on 08 September in which people of about 12 panchayats will receive the blessings of Mata Jaiswari and Kalahar Nag. He said that a tug-of-war competition for women has been organized in the fair in which 11 thousand will be given as the first prize and five thousand as the second prize. Apart from this, traditional Jhuri will also be sung in the fair in which Yashwant Dhamseth and Pappu Verma will entertain the people by singing traditional Jhuri in their melodious voices.
Sita Ram Sharma said that to make the fair attractive, famous folk singers have also been invited in which Honey Negi, Raman Bharti, Surendra Sharma, Reshma Pandya, Dikshita Bragta and Suresh Sharma will showcase their art.
He said that special buses have been arranged for the convenience of the people coming to the fair. Apart from this, provision of langar has also been made for the people in the fair. He said that Rajesh Kumar Gupta, President of Green Berry Sanstha Narkanda will participate in the fair as the chief guest.
