Review meeting related to developmental works organized in Rampur
A review meeting on developmental works was held today, chaired by Nand Lal, Chairman of the Himachal Pradesh Finance Commission and local MLA of Rampur Bushhar.
During the meeting, the Chairman urged all departmental officials to be attentive to public issues and ensure timely completion of government-run developmental projects. He emphasized keeping all roads open, especially during the apple season, to facilitate the timely transport of cash crops. For frequently blocked roads, he instructed that machinery be pre-deployed to ensure immediate restoration. Feedback was taken from all departmental officers regarding their activities, and necessary guidelines were provided.
The Chairman reviewed the construction work on various roads, including the Dansa to Matling road by the Public Works Department, Jhakdi Khadkag road, Nagadhar road, Taklage main road to Khanortu road, Bahali to Shangri road, Jawalda to Khalaida road, Soidhar Tangri road, Pajidhar to Pashgaon road, Pancha to Nanti bridge road, Nehra road, Kungal-Mudar Road, and Runpu to smaller Runpu. The Executive Engineer of the Public Works Department reported that some works were completed, while others awaited clearance from the Forest Department, which would be completed soon.
The Chairman instructed the Public Works Department to prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPR) through outsourcing and ensure all DPRs are ready before the next review meeting. He also directed the Forest Department to handle all matters related to the Forest Conservation Act (FCA) promptly.
The National Highway Department reported that tenders for installing a retaining wall from Kingle to Nathpa had been issued, and work would commence soon.
The Electricity Department informed that 23 transformers were to be installed in their jurisdiction, with 10 already installed and the rest to follow soon. They also aimed to install 15,000 smart meters in the Rampur area by March 2025 to prevent electricity theft.
The Water Power Department reported working on 35 plans, with 10 completed and the rest in progress. The Chairman directed the department to strengthen the monitoring system and effectively implement these plans to meet basic public needs.
The Chairman also reviewed the department’s efforts to prevent dengue in the area, instructing hospitals to stock sufficient medicines and test kits before the rainy season. He directed the city council to spray dengue prevention medicines daily to control the disease.
The meeting was conducted by Deputy Board Officer Citizen Rampur Nishant Tomar.
Participants included Section Development Officer Nankhari Abhishek Sharma, Forest Officer Rampur Gurharsh Singh, Senior Executive Engineer Electric Kuku Sharma, Executive Engineer Public Works Department B&R Shakti Kumar Negi, Executive Engineer Water Shakti Department Rasbir Negi, Executive Engineer of National Highway L. Suman, and officers from Health, Ayush, Animal Husbandry, Agriculture, Horticulture, Education, and Child Development and Welfare Departments.
