Respect people’s verdict: Pratibha
State Congress President Pratibha Singh, while accepting the party’s defeat in four Lok Sabha elections in the state, has said that in a democracy public opinion is paramount and she respects it completely. She said that Congress fought this election very strongly. She expressed her gratitude to those voters who gave her their important votes in these elections. She said that Congress has never backed down from its responsibility and will never do so. She said that the election results did not come as per expectations and a review will be done to find out what was lacking. She urged the party workers not to lower their morale in any way and said that there are wins and losses in elections, so they need not be discouraged in any way.
Pratibha Singh, while congratulating all the BJP candidates who won in the Lok Sabha elections, expressed hope that they will make a significant contribution to the development of the state in accordance with public aspirations.
Pratibha Singh also congratulated the Congress party leaders who won the by-elections in the state assembly and said that their victory has further strengthened the Congress government in the state. She said that the result of the assembly by-elections has proved that the people of the state are strong with the Congress government.
