Rashmi Dhar induction as chairperson to strengthen BJP in Solan
THE NOMINATION of old war horse of Akhil Bhartiya Vidyarathi Parishad ( ABVP) Rashmi Dhar Sood as chairperson of Himachal Pradesh Tourism Development Corporation (HPTDC) by the chief minister has virtually infused a new blood amongst the party’s rank and file, here.
The winner of ‘Samita Patil Best National Female Actor Award in Theatre’ and crusader of “BETI BACHAO BETI PADAO” campaign, a dream project of our Prime Minister, Narender Modi, Rashmi Dhar Sood is known for her tireless efforts to strengthen the party, particularly Mahila Morcha in the state, ever since she took over as president of BJP’s Mahila Morcha in Himachal.
Notably, Rashmi Dhar was appointed as chairperson of HPTDC by chief minister Jai Ram Thakur, on Friday. Eversince taking over the Mahila Morcha president, she had been continuously touring the state to reunite the members of Morcha against the nefarious design of opposition congress to tarnish the image of BJP government in the state. Besides, actively participating in theater and politics, Rashmi Dhar Sood has also adopted three girls, victims of social injustice, who were staying with her. Sood had first jumped in politics during her college days when she joined ABVP and participated in student’s protests and agitations at college as well as university level.
Considered close to national BJP president JP Nadda, Rashmi Dhar has also represented India to South Korea for International Winter Olympics. Besides many other feathers to her cap, Sood had also intensively toured different states to strengthen the Mahila Morcha as National vice president.
Welcoming her elevation, president of district Mahila Morcha Shakuntla Sharma and large number of other women leaders said that her appointment would certainly help in infusing new blood amongst the par ty workers not only in Solan but also across the state. The leaders said that ever since , she had been appointed as Mahila Morcha state chief , she had been continuously touring the far flung areas of the state to mobilize the women folk and workers to counter the opposition’s tirade to defame the BJP in the eyes of the people.
The women leaders said that Rashmi Dhar Sood was always remained a source of inspiration to Mahila Morcha activists, especially in actively participating in Social as well as political activities in the state. Sharma along with other women leaders thanked the chief minister and national president JP Nadda for appointing Rashmi Dhar.
