Rains in parts of Himachal bring relief from sweltering heat

In contrast to heatwaves of many places in the plain pleasant to frequent rain showers and partly cloudy weather prevailed in the  North West Himalayan region.

Minimum temperatures are remained around 12 to 13 degrees and two to three degrees below normal. Shimla was low at 11 degrees Celsius, Sundernagar 10.3 degrees, Bhuntar 8.5 degrees, Kalpa 3.5 degrees, Dharamshala  15.4 degrees, Una 14 degrees, Nahan 17.5 degrees, Keylong 2.2 degrees, Palampur 11.5 degrees Solan10.2 degrees, Manali 2.8 degrees, Kangra 13.2 degree, Mandi 10.9 degrees, Bilaspur 13.4 degrees Celsius, Hamirpur14.2 degrees, Chamba 11.9 degrees, Dalhousie 9.5 degrees.

Sujanpur Tira recorded a substantial 25.5 mm of rain, Palampur 17.4 mm of rain, Jogindernagar 7 mm, Baijnath 6 mm, and Dehra Gopipur 3.2 mm.

These diverse weather patterns and temperature ranges contribute to the dynamic interplay between winter and summer, rain, and snow, shaping life and landscapes in this region.

Indian Meteorological Department predicted rain and stormy weather today but tomorrow could be dry. From April 26 to 28, there might be more rain or snow in the higher areas and rain in the lower hills in many places.
