Militants, sympathizers & Tablighi Jamaats under scanner. Punjab & HP top cops deliberate on mutual interest
State Director General of police Sanjay Kundu and his counterpart and DGP Punjab Gaurav Yadav today discussed issues of mutual interest and decided to work in close coordination to give a “knock-out-punch” to the organized inter-state crime. Two discussed about the plan for conducting joint operations along our border with Punjab & HP Police to address inter-state organized crime. Beside this they discussed to take measures jointly to address trafficking of illicit and cheap liquor & drugs. Both the state would also address the issue of pilgrims from Punjab visiting Himachal temples in open trucks , unauthorized commercial vehicles, and overstuffed tempos etc, which are prone to accidents and loss of human lives. Information will also be share regarding gangsters and their sleeper cells or aides, vehicle thefts and movement of vehicle having Himachal no number plates. Both state police also agreed to jointly watch the activities of SFJ and exchange info of militant outfit and their sympathizers in Himachal. To keep watch on interstate movement of Tablighi Jamaat & share CCTV saturation on the border, exchange and training programs were also discussed.
