Punjab debacle, AICC cautions Himachal unit, no CM face
All India Congress Committee convened a HPCC meeting at New Delhi Congress Headquarter on Tuesday cautioning party unit to fight upcoming Assembly Election under the Collective leadership moreover AICC is not in position to allow organization change in top leadership. Spokesperson of the party told us on phone that 24 state party leaders including HPCC Chief Kuldeep Singh Rathore, CLP leader Mukesh Agnihotri, former HPCC leader Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, AICC general secretary of HPCC and office bearers of HPCC attended the meeting. AICC president Sonia Gandhi directed the state unit to fight under collective leadership and no Chief Minister face would be projected before the Assembly Election. Party would fight Assembly Election under the same party units which defeated ruling BJP by four zero in recent Mandi Lok Sabha and Assembly by Election. The party leaders were cautioned to not indulged in factionalism like Punjab. The meeting were held in the backdrop of Punjab debacle and AICC time and again asked state unit to be United and not breach party discipline on the juncture of party’s high time when it was expected to return to power in Himachal Pradesh. AICC leader cautioned the state Leaders to end the difference between them moreover AICC is not ready to make any change in the organization. Party membership drive would continue moreover organization Election in the state unlikely to be happen till September scheduled before September in the rest of PCC units of states and in the AICC. ” No decision taken during the meeting on HPCC Election as state is going to poll and party could delay state PCC Election ” HPCC spokesperson said. Party did not see any major threat from the AAP in Himachal Pradesh as no party big leader are being poached by Aam Adami Party to strengthen its base. Keeping the response of voters and increasing party vote share in recent by Election Congress chance to return to power very likely, AICC leader assured the party unit. The HPCC leader are moving to Kangra district tomorrow and most of them are at Delhi today, he said. Congress had 22 seats in the state assembly and it have got 43 percent votes are in 2017 Assembly Election party vote share come down drastically to 27 pc in 2019 Lok Sabha Election which is ten percent less of 2017 LS election however party succeed to gain the vote share in recent by Election as it defeated BJP getting about 49 pc votes share compared to ruling BJP which also retain irs 47 pc vote share. HPCC leaders are confident to return in the state however results of Uttrakhand indicates that AAP could play the spoil sports in Himachal too. The experience of Uttrakhand to not project CM face and fight Assembly Election in collective leadership in Uttrakhand did not helped the party however it is going to repeat Uttrakhand facing massive debacle in Punjab.
